About

Built by operators, for operators.

We have all been on the wrong side of an outage call. Orbita exists because the tools the industry had were spreadsheets, group chats, and luck. We wanted one screen.

The story

A single point of orbit — for a reason.

Orbita started as an internal tool. A handful of us were running Starlink fleets across three companies and two continents, and we kept finding out about outages the same way: a customer told us. The control we had over the actual hardware was excellent. The control over the operation was a Google Sheet someone in the team had named "fleet_v17_FINAL_FINAL".

The Spanish word órbita carries two meanings: the path a satellite traces, and the route something stays on, on purpose. Latin orbita meant a wheel rut: the unbroken line you follow because someone before you already proved it works. Both meanings sit in the brand. Every terminal stays in its orbit. Every alert is on the path. Nothing drifts unnoticed.

We built the v0 in 2025 for one fleet, then for three, then for twelve. In May 2026 we shipped v1 as a public product. We are still a small team — operators first, software second. If a feature lands in the product, it is because someone in the NOC asked for it on a 03:00 shift.

Values

Four pillars. Decision filters.

If a feature, page, or word breaks one of these, we change it.

01

Clarity

Information without noise. Every pixel earns its place. A screen full of charts means we have failed to choose the one that matters. Whitespace is a feature, not a gap.

02

Precision

Telemetry numbers are tabular, monospaced, and never lie about decimals. We never invent units. We never round when the operator needs the truth.

03

Trust

Built for the 24/7 NOC. We never overstate severity, never bury a real problem, never simulate liveness. If we are not sure, we say so out loud.

04

Calm

Mission-critical, never frantic. Color is earned: when everything is fine, the room is quiet. Alerts mean alerts. Calm is the default state of a healthy fleet.

Team

Small. Operators first.

We will introduce ourselves properly here once the v1 launch settles. Until then, these are the four people who got Orbita to v1.
